Lately I've been inspired by two things- 1. Dick Frizzell and 2. Photos of my parents from the seventies. So this submission for Illustration Friday draws on both of these- the style is a bit Frizzell, the image is based on a fantastic photo of my grandmother at my mother's graduation and the background is paisley as its very 70s.
I definitely get the grandmother 70's vibe from this one. I also like the contrast of the detailed line work and the flowing paisley.
